The area
for lovers of leisurely walks :
The 7th offers many possibilities for long leisurely walks.
Start for example with a walk along the Seine River with views over the Tuileries gardens and the Place de la Concorde. While going westward you will pass the Alexandre III bridge, considered one of the most beautiful bridges of Paris with its statues and golden ornaments. From the bridge you’ll have a wonderful view onto the Invalides.
Following the river, you will end up at Paris’ most remarkable emblem – the Eiffel Tower. In summer, the Champs de Mars, the garden at the foot of the Eiffel Tower, is crowded with people having a picnic on the lawn with a breathtaking view on the tower.
The streets surrounding the Eiffel Tower are also inviting for a stroll with their sidewalk cafés, typical French bakeries and luxury boutiques. The pedestrian zone of the Rue Cler features a lively and colourful market and many cosy cafés.
