Roland-Garros Stadium is a tennis venue to the west of Paris, on the outskirts of Bois de Boulogne park. The stadium’s name pays tribute to pioneering aviator and fighter pilot Roland Garros, who died in aerial combat during World War I in 1918. Roland-Garros Stadium has a total of 24 clay courts. The largest three are Centre Court (or Court Philippe Chatrier), Court Suzanne Lenglen and Court 1.
